On Labour Weekend (Oct 23-25) the South Island championships were held at the Ruapuna track in Christchurch New Zealand (www.crcc.co.nz). In the 8th scale class 6 of the 10 cars to make the 40 min final were Mugen drivers all running with the new MRX5. It was a great weekend and a great 1, 2, 3 finish for Mugen. |

2010 Brazilian national series came to the end. In the 1/10 Touring class Leandro Campos is the Champion for the second time with his MTX4R. In the 1/8 on-road class Flavio Elias is once more the Champion winning the race with his brand new MRX5, in a brilliant race, taking the lead since the first lap. He was also TQ. |

Keisuke Fukuda become his third consecutive Japan Champion! 2010 JMRCA 1/10 GPT Japan Championship was held at Hokusei circuit, on 10th to 12th of September. The weather was perfect during the race week and Fukuda defend his title again and become his third consecutive Japan champion! TQ man Takumi Matsuda finished 2nd followed by Yuuya Sahashi in the 3rd. Mugen had three cars in the grand final. |

The weekend of 15/16 May 2010 saw Drivers from all around South Africa attend Round 2 of the National championship in East London. In the 200mm Nitro touring class, Rowan Bower Mugen Seiki MTX4R won the 30 minute final from the TQ position, setting a new lap record. Second place was Dave Wiseman with Russell Attenborough in third driving his Mugen Seiki MTX4R. In the 1/8th class Wayne Joelson driving a Mugen Seiki MRX4X, was top qualifier and won the 45 minute final by 5 laps followed by Steve Munslow and James Brauns also both with Mugen Seiki MRX4X. |

Bruno Coelho wins 1st round of Portugal On-Road National! 2010 Portugal On-Road National Championships was held at Monsanto, on March 14th. Bruno Coelho was TQ'ed for both 1/10 and 1/8 class driving with his MTX-4R and MRX-4X. For 1/10 touring final, Bruno lead until the end of 15 minutes and two laps ahead second position, but he ended up 8th position due to engine problem. However, Bruno showed great performance during the 45 minutes main final for 1/8 racing class and finished with 11 laps lead. Well done! |

Thunder
Valley Raceway (TVR), played host to Round 1 of the 2010 South African
National Gas Championship. Current 1/8th. scale National Champion Wayne Joelson with
his Mugen Seiki MRX4X was the only driver to run 19 laps, taking the Top
Qualifier position. Sunday’s 45 minute final saw temperatures close to 32
degrees. After leading from the start and having built
one lap
cushion on the field after eight minutes, Wayne ran out of fuel around
the fifteen minute mark. Now a lap down he managed to take back
the lead in the dying moments of the race to score a dramatic win over
newly signed Mugen Seiki team mate Steve Munslow. Round 2 of the series takes place in East
London on 15/16 May. |
