Date 25-06-2000
Club: Den-Helder
Track condition: Cloudy weather
Track surface: Sand and clay mainly dry
Temperature 20 degrees Celsius
Contenders: 15

The weather forecast was telling we would have a wet race again. But the weather girl was wrong. The track was only in the morning a little wet due to some small rainfall. The rest of the day the track was dry, dusty and very grippy.
Only 15 drivers showed up.

After 4 qualification almost trouble free the finales were made up.
The A-main finale gave place to the four quickest from each 1/2 finale.

The finale started without many problems and Rene van Schaijk (Mugen MBX-4RR) only showed the back of his car to the rest of the field. The second place man Wouter Bouwens had the day of his life. He raced without any problem 30 minutes long. This is an achievement. Normally he drivers well but always something goes wrong. This time he succeeded to reach the finish. The third and fourth place seemed to be preserved for Jacco Koch and Paco Raap. Paco had an engine flame out and dropped one place to fifth. Last year Rookie Michel Siethoof took advantage and sneaked in fourth place. Sixth place was for also Rookie driver Gerben den Dunnen. He is currently the only one driving an Thunder Tiger EB-4. Steady driving gave him sixth place although his transmitter battery went flat (never listen to a Pro driver Gerben!). Seventh and eight place drivers Jeroen Vonk and Remco Welp suffered different problems. Jeroen Vonks air filter was filled with dust and even twp pit stops could prevent an very rich running engine. In this dry and dusty conditions the K&N filter was not sufficient to keep the engine free breathing.

The driving was fast and everyone enjoined the final.
