2006 1/8 On-Road Spanish Championship Rd.2

Zaragoza, May 13-14, 2006

Dear Racers,
Great success of Mugen/Ninja in this race. After a long waiting for the new engines
they demonstrated that are fast enough to make a pole position and also to win a race.
Heat results:
Three Ninjas in the four direct finalists in its first race. The linear way to give its power
allow to the drivers make fast and consistent lap times with a good fuel consumption.

Main final:
After a clean start, in the first lap Montesinos is touched very hard in the pipe side and
is relegated to last position. In front, Artiles with a hard tire choice has to let pass
Peracho that is a little bit more quick in this moment. Artiles try to follow him but touch
the inside of the curve too much and roll over, Peracho and Cabezas opens a gap. About
25 min. Artiles catch up Cabezas and push very hard behind him and Cabezas make an
mistake that finished with his car broken into the barriers. Behind the leaders,
Montesinos with two stops of 1 min. to repair the pipe is in five position in the same lap
of the four. Lopez is now third. The tire change is perfect for all. About 30 min. Artiles
is pushing Peracho and pass him in a great movement. Peracho in his persecution
encounters a stopped car in the middle of the straight and destroy his front end. Artiles
is now controlling his advantage from Lopez and Montesinos came to third position.
After 45 min. the five first positions are Mugen and the podium are Ninja engines.
Congratulate team Vas Modelismo,( Dani, Edu ), for its effort and great job along all
